A step by step guide to entering the Skiathon 2010

Step ONE: Find out which is your nearest local slope to taking part in the Skiathon.

Step TWO: Organise a team of 6 participants who can ski or board and allocate a team leader. If you don't manage to get a team of 6 together please contact sophiewood@disabilitysnowsport.org.uk, we might be able to help you with others in the same boat.

Step THREE: Before registering for the Skiathon, ensure you have the name, date of birth, email address and phone number of each participant. Register your details by using either a paper copy of the application form here, or online  and pay your £66 entry fee. Check that you agree to the terms and conditions (below).

Step FOUR: Start fundraising by downloading our fundraising hints & tips and ensure that all the money is paid to Disability Snowsport UK by no later than 1 month after the event.

Step FIVE: On the day of the event make sure you bring along a copy of your registration confirmation (either a stamped entry form from DSUK or a printout of the online system’s confirmation of registration) with you. Please arrive at the slope with enough time to register your team and collect all ski equipment before the start of the challenge.

Fundraising

You can set up your own fundraising page at Virgin Money Giving or download a hard copy sponsorship form here. Make sure you get all the details required from the people sponsoring you so we can claim Gift Aid on their donations. You could also download a poster and put it up in your office, school, university or gym to get more people interested!
